It is time to renew your dues for the 2012-2013 year. Our club year runs from April 1st to March 31st each year. The applications for renewal of your membership will be available starting with the February 20th meeting. Please try to get your 2012-2013 application form along with your check for $25 by April 1st if possible. If two immediate family members living in the same household join, the dues are $45 for both members.

Thanks to all of you that have been signing in at each meeting. Following is some information gained from the attendance sheets, September 19 through December 5: The average attendance during the period was 53 members per meeting. Our highest attendance was 71 members on November 7, which was a Members’ Night. Our membership total to date is 175, of which 5 are out of state now or honorary members no longer attending meetings. Of the 170 active members 73% have attended at least one meeting during this period. (Note: The 170 includes at least 6 members who have signed up to take a class, but not yet attended a regular club meeting)

In September we are instituting a new procedure and will have an attendance sheet at the door for members to check when they come in. We are doing this to get a more accurate handle on attendance to help with meeting set up and also to determine from contacting non-attendees if the club is not meeting their needs. This is prompted by the high number of first year members that do not renew. The board hopes that the attendance sheet will not be a burden and would appreciate your checking off by your name each meeting.

Become a Better Photographer and Have Fun, too.

At the second meeting in February, February 21, 2011, the membership applications will be available for you to pick up. Please pick up your application, fill it out completely, and return it with your check as soon as possible. Checks should be made payable to Redlands Camera Club. Our calendar year begins April 1st. As announced at the last meeting, the board recently voted to raise the dues for 2011-2012. Dues will be $25.00 for a single membership and $20.00 for each additional immediate family member.

Our group holds twice-monthly meetings, competitions, and we also schedule field trips and workshops throughout the year.

Visitors are welcome at our meetings, 7 PM the first and third Monday of each month. Come join us at the Redlands United Church of Christ located at 168 Bellevue Avenue in Redlands, California, North of W. Olive Avenue
