My name is Woody. I am the competition chairman and web site manager for Redlands Camera Club in Redlands, California, USA. I was setting up a new domain name for our club (we have the .com domain and now the .org domain as of today.) Much to my surprise I came across your beautiful site named (of all things) Redlands Camera Club of Australia.

I find it really interesting that we have a sister (or brother) site halfway around the world. Our meetings are also the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Looking forward to hearing from you.

How nice to hear from you! We also had no idea that your Camera Club or area existed so what a lovely coincidence for us all.

I'm sure our members will be most interested to hear of the common bond between us. We will publish the details in our next Newsletter as well.

I looked up your district on Google Maps and found where you are located in California. We are situated on the shores of MoretonBay which is a large expanse of water between mainland Australia (directly east of BrisbaneCity) and three large islands called Moreton, North and SouthStradbrokeIslands. This is our local community web site http://www.redland.qld.gov.au. Our camera club web site is Redlands Camera Club of Australia.

If any of your members visit Australia, and in particular the SE part of Queensland, they are most welcome to contact us and we would be very happy to have them along to meet our members.

Our Club has grown considerably in the last 3 years - of course, some people join, learn what they need and only stay 12 months, however, we currently have in excess of 100 active/financial members and we usually have an average attendance of around 65 to each of our meetings. And they are a most enthusiastic group of people covering a broad range of interests.
