Bob Upton was raised in Riverside and lived there most of his life, except for 6 years spent in Sacramento, where he married Vee, his wife of 43 years. Photography started for Bob at 14 when he got his first camera, a Kodak Brownie 127. His love of custom cars and hot rods were his subjects of choice. At age 22 the Army came into the picture and he trained as an Army Combat Photographer learning the basics of still photography with a 4x5 Speed Graphic Press Camera.
Over the years Bob has specialized in automotive photography and he and Vee have traveled to many automotive events all across the United States and Germany. The past two years landscape and wildlife photography has become his main interest with occasional car events.
Bob is a member of the Redlands Camera Club along with the Photo Artist Network and Shoot and Share in Riverside. His current camera is a Nikon D-300.
